Succulent Study: this succulent was the only thing growing at this little gravesite, which was enclosed within perimeter of a mid-level wrought iron fence. I had feeling the plants natural lines and contrasting color against the bark, would look good on film. I had to take the blooms picture. However, no matter how hard I tried I just couldn’t get decent shot outside the fence. In the midsts of frustration and maybe a little desperation, I used my midsection as a fulcrum between my feet & hands to balance over the fence. This precarious position allowed me to take this picture completely upside down, and within a few inches 90 degrees above the bloom. Looking back, I’m somewhat surprised how quickly it all transpired. I didn’t really think about what I was doing - it just happened. I suppose the fact that I got all Spiderman on it, was just an added bonus. Anyways, it looks like everything worked out alright, and happily no graves or little succulents were desecrated in the process. (Taken with instagram)
