Spring Abstract; in addition to my iPhone I take a camera with me everywhere I go. My DSLR is somewhat impractical to carry with me all the time, so it’s usually a little cheap plastic film camera that I can fit into my pocket. Lately, I’ve gotten into the habit of noticing the things that I’m drawn to. I think I’ve learnt a lot about myself, since I started photography again. The images I create, help me understand what I’m thinking or feeling at a given moment. I heard somewhere that, “photography can be as much about listening and emotion, as it is seeing and light”. After experiencing this, I now believe that saying is true. Sometimes…we just need a catalyst, to jump start a needed internal dialogue with ourselves. This introspective dialogue can sometimes be a difficult conversation, that for the most part wouldn’t happen on it’s own. However, once it’s completed. The rewards reaped, are invaluable.
